Ohio woman charged after son falls into cheetah exhibit

Michelle Schwab, 37,  is being charged after she dangled her 2-year-old son over the cheetah enclosure at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo causing him to fall.

Schwab a Delaware county resident helps to manage a child-care center.

The Columbus dispatch reported that Schwab was “charged with a misdemeanor count of child endangering, after zoo authorities say she held her son over the protective railing at the zoo.

The child fell into the exhibit on Saturday and broke his left leg, according to court documents.

She and her husband, Corey, were able to climb into the exhibit and rescue the boy without the cheetahs approaching them.”
