These images really angered viewers when they saw a woman with her son drive off in a Mercedes-Benz after being seen begging on a street corner.
Melissa Smith, San Diego, was outraged an contacted KGTV station in San Diego after watching this woman begging for money at a shopping center, then drive off in her Benz! She informed the tv station that she’d seen the woman and boy every weekend at the same shopping center for 2 months
“I noticed they grabbed their little boy and they got into a Mercedes-Benz,” Smith told the station. “I thought, ‘Wow, a Mercedes-Benz. It’s not even used — it’s not old. It’s a new Benz’.”
“Here they are counting money, laughing and their little boy is not in a car seat or seat belt,” Smith said. “He’s all the way in the front seat with them.”
Smith said she took pictures on the car and license plate and watched them drive off to another shopping plaza.
“They drive down to the other McDonald’s,” Smith said. “She sits there with the sign. He goes and parks the Mercedes. Not less than five minutes here she is getting money from all these people.”
