Teacher fired for humiliating a bully in front of her class

Nicole LeMire a teacher at Glen Oak Elementary in Lewis Center, Ohio was fired when she decided to confront a student in her class for his bullying of other students.

According to NBC4 news LeMire claims that the boy was pushing, hitting, and cursing at other students so she decided to ask him a question.

“I said, ‘do you know how your actions and your words are hurting other students and your friends?’”

LeMire then had all the students that had been bullied by this particular student to stand up and tell him about all the things he had done to them.

LeMire even gave the boy a little note with all the reasons he didn’t have any friends.

“According to the Olentangy School District, the note included things the child’s classmates said they did not like about him and why he did not have any friends.”

When asked by NCB4 what LeMire would say to the boy’s parent about his son coming home in tears with the note LeMire replied, “Well, that note that got to him, was never intended for his parents,” LeMire said. “It was basically just a little list of things that I was starting. It was…it did not, was not addressed to the parents. It was actually surprising and shocking to me that it was even in the parents hands.”

LeMire explained that she was trying to “have a teachable moment” with the students.

According to LeMire she never stood up and challenged the boy in front of the class, that she was in the back of the classroom and asked the boy to the back to speak with her and other students.
