Teenage beauty queen Gemma Hartery escapes car crash

This is one lucky and determined beauty queen.  Gemma Hartery was on her way to her first pageant when the car she and her boyfriend were in hit an oil patch and crashed.

According to the dailymail, her “boyfriend Ellis’ Ford Fiesta flipped on to its roof on the notorious Snake Pass road near Macclesfield, Cheshire.”

Fortunately for Hartery she wasn’t seriously injured, with just a scratch on her hand,   she was back on the road with her mum’s assistance and even managed to make it to her Miss Wales selection interview on time!

“We were so lucky. And I managed to escape with just a cut on my hand from the glass on the passenger side window. I was fine after my mum gave me some sugary drinks to calm me down and I didn’t even mention it at the interview.”

Now that’s grace under pressure!
