Christina Bond, 55, was trying to adjust her bra holster for her .22 caliber revolver when she accidentally shot herself in the eye. The gun shot was fatal.
The Kalamazoo Gazette reported, “She was having trouble adjusting her bra holster, couldn’t get it to fit the way she wanted it to,” St. Joseph Public Safety Director Mark Clapp said, “She was looking down at it and accidentally discharged the weapon.”
Bond was a mom of two sons; she was an administrator at a local church for 15 years and ministered at the Berrien County Jail. She lived in St. Joseph, Michigan.
