Woman walks into police station, asks for hug

Life is moving fast, we’re connected virtually, but not necessarily physically, so sometimes you just need a hug.  That’s exactly what an elderly woman in Arvada, Colorado needed: a hug.  According to CBS news she was upset by the deaths of several police officers across the country and wanted to hug a police officer to show support and appreciation for her local law enforcement officers.

She walked into the police department and made her request for a hug via dispatch, “Within seconds, a sergeant responded: “This is Cruiser 12 — I’ll come get that hug.”

The images have gone viral with so many people being  “touched”  by her hug request.
